What’s your favourite colour?
You might have noticed that colours have the ability to affect our mood. If anyone has ever admired a colour you’re wearing (“that colour looks so good on you!”) then you’ll know it has the power to lift our spirits.
We can use colour in mindfulness and we don’t have to be meditating formally to do that.
Try this Mindful Moment:
Next time you go for a walk, whether it’s to the bus stop or down by the river, pick a colour and then notice how many times you see it where you are. You’ll find you’re surrounded by colours you may not have seen before. Fill your vision with the colours and take a moment to appreciate the beauty around you.
