Do you find you go round in circles?
You make a decision to change direction, and end up in the exact same place.
You go out with someone new, and find they’re the same person as the last, just with a different face.
You feel like you’re moving towards something, and realise you’re back where you started.
Here’s something you can try:
Spend a few moments tuning into how you feel right now. What’s the emotion you notice first? Give it a label, but try not to get caught up in the why. Just recognise the feeling. Then get curious. What’s it like to feel that right now, label what comes up next. Is it a thought? Or another feeling? Just keep noticing what’s coming up for you, recognising that awareness is the first step to change. Only spend a few moments on this, but see it as an opportunity to move forward in the right direction.
