Mindful Moment: Colour Meditation

Do you have a favourite colour?

If you had to describe yourself as a colour today what would it be?

Colours can have the ability to energise. What colour lifts your spirits?

Using colour as the object of your meditation is a great way to relax. You can visualise colours in your imagination or select an object in the colour you want to focus on; perhaps a yellow sunflower or a piece of fabric in your favourite shade.   If you’re visualising the colour in your mind, close your eyes and perhaps talk yourself through the colours of the rainbow – starting at red, then orange, yellow, green, blue and purple.

Alternatively, hold the object of colour in your hands or place it where you can give it your full attention. Spend a few moments experiencing it, noticing everything that arises for you, without judgement.
